Hull City's Craig Fagan has forgiven Newcastle midfielder Danny Guthrie for the tackle that left him nursing a broken leg.
Fagan has only recently returned to training with manager Phil Brown's squad after being sidelined for over two months following Guthrie's tackle.
Tigers fans were incensed that while Fagan was left with a spell on the sidelines The FA failed to take action against Guthrie who only suffered a three-match ban.
However, despite talk Fagan could possibly take legal action against Guthrie, the 25-year-old says he bears no resentment against the Magpies midfielder.
"It happened. It was born out of frustration," said Fagan.
"I wouldn't say he is a malicious player that goes around kicking people every week.
"It shouldn't have happened. It was a bad tackle, he knows that, but I just want to get back playing.
"He did text and ring me after it happened but I said to him I just wanted to get back playing.
"Obviously I'm not going to be his best mate over it, but I've forgiven him and I just want to get back now.
"I wasn't happy about the situation but it's all gone now, it's in the past."
