Portsmouth defender Sylvain Distin has claimed he was subject of an approach from Arsenal.
The Frenchman signed for Pompey on a free transfer in 2007 after his contract at Manchester City expired.
However, when asked if the Gunners contacted him in the recent past, Distin told
Foot Mercato: "There was nothing serious, just an approach in order to know what my situation was, but no serious offer."
Distin also confirmed his affection for his former club Paris Saint Germain, hinting that he could one day return to the French capital.
He said: "PSG remain in my heart, they are the club that made me grow and that educated me. If tomorrow I am to return to France, my priority will be Paris."
The 30-year-old also explained that he was 'disappointed' by the manner of Harry Redknapp's departure from Fratton Park to Tottenham Hotspur in October.
"Personally, Redknapp disappointed me because he did not tell us about his departure," said Distin.
"Some players realised he had gone by watching TV in the evening or the morning after, just before the game. Then you have to move on."
