Fulham boss Roy Hodgson believes he has got value for money from £10million-man Andy Johnson this season.
The England international striker joined the Cottagers from Everton in July, allowing him to fulfil his ambition of moving back to the capital.
Renowned for being a lively customer, the 27-year-old has gone on to make a bright start to life at Craven Cottage.
While the goals did not arrive instantly, with niggling injuries hindering his cause, he has found the target on six occasions this season and helped lay on countless opportunities for his rejuvenated team-mates.
"He's now scored six goals and provoked two penalties which Danny Murphy scored," said Hodgson.
"Had he taken those penalties he would have eight goals which is a fantastic record because he missed the start of the season.
"That's what we bought him to do. He's small in stature but so competitive. Even against people four or five inches taller, he competes with them. He's done very well for us."
