Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz admits he would relish the opportunity to play alongside Kaka at Manchester City.
City's reported £16million bid for the Paraguayan striker was dismissed by Rovers, who have expressed their intent to keep their star players.
But the 27-year-old has admitted he would be very much interested in a switch to Eastlands under former boss Mark Hughes.
Despite vowing to do everything he can to keep Blackburn in the Premier League, Santa Cruz has said his desire is to play for a "bigger outfit".
"I don't know what will happen this month for me," Santa Cruz told The Sun.
"Would I want to play alongside Kaka? Well, yes. Certainly to have a player like Kaka in your side would be great.
"I know City are a team looking to become big in the future. They have a lot of ambition.
"They are looking to bring in some big players and aiming for the UEFA Champions League."
Still uncertain as to his future with Rovers, Santa Cruz says City are the only club he would consider moving to.
"My agent has been contacted by other clubs," he added. "But the fact is Mark Hughes is a manager I know.
"He knows me and I know what he expects. But everything is out of my hands.
"It might seem strange that I love Blackburn but I also want to go on and play for a bigger team and achieve more."
Allardyce hit back at City for their recent bid and suggested no amount of money could tempt him to let go of his star striker.
"I don't give two hoots if they decide to look elsewhere. The money is not important to me," said Allardyce.
"What is the money going to do for me? There are no players out there you can hang your hat on and go buy.
"Nobody as good as Roque Santa Cruz is anyway."
