Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen has played down speculation linking him with a January move to Portsmouth.
The Denmark international has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Lassana Diarra at Fratton Park.
He has endured a difficult season in Italy, with injuries curbing his progress following a summer switch from Sevilla.
The 28-year-old is, however, closing in on full fitness once more and admits that his sole intention at present is to force his way back into the first-team reckoning at Juve.
"I am on my way back from injury and I am trying hard to find a way back into the Juventus team," he told Ekstra Bladet.
"I am completely focused on getting enough playing time here and I hope the manager (Claudio Ranieri) is aware of my progress.
"I want to get back in action as soon as possible."
Reports in England suggest Pompey chairman Peter Storrie travelled to Italy on Monday in an effort to thrash out a deal, but Poulsen's agent Joern Bonnesen has denied having any contact with the South Coast club.
"It's not true," he told the Italian media.
"No one has contacted us.
"Christian has no intention to leave Turin.
"Of course, it will be up to the club to decide whether to transfer him, but only then will we take into consideration any offers that arrive."
