Croat looking at the future

Croatian star Niko Kranjcar has confirmed that he expects Portsmouth to sell him in the summer. The midfield ace has been strongly linked with a switch to Arsenal and Tottenham, where his former boss Harry Redknapp is now in charge. Kranjcar admits that a move in January was never an option, but he does acknowledge that, although talks have begun over a new deal, he expects to leave Fratton Park at the end of the season. "I am waiting [for a move] there is no rush," he told Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List. "Until the end of the season I will be with Portsmouth. "After that the club will make a decision on what is best, and they will probably sell me - even though we have started negotiations over a new deal."

No Spurs talks

Kranjcar played down speculation that he had talks with Redknapp about a possible switch to Spurs, insisting he fellow countryman Luka Modric was already filling his position. "Redknapp has not called me, and anyway my position there is well covered with Luka Modric playing well," he added.
