Nurnberg are not expecting Angelos Charisteas to leave the club for Fulham before the close of the transfer window.
Charisteas has been linked with a move to Craven Cottage and was watched by Fulham boss Roy Hodgson in a friendly last week.
The German club also admitted last week that the Premier League side did not appear to be in a hurry to conclude any deal for the Greece international.
And Nurnberg's general manager Martin Bader now believes that, with a week to go before the window closes, Charisteas will not be sold.
"Angelos is part of our plans and we are currently expecting him to stay with us rather than move to Fulham," Bader told Nurnberger Zeitung.
"We have yet to receive anything concrete in this case.
"Of course, if there is a club coming up with an offer before the end of the window we would have to evaluate the situation once again."
Reports in Germany claim that Nurnberg have upped their asking price for Charisteas to 1.7million euros (£1.6million).
