Everton and Bolton target Pavel Pogrebnyak has spoken of his wish to stay with Zenit St Petersburg - for the time being.
The 25-year-old striker has been linked with a host of clubs - including the North West pair - but wants to stay with the Uefa Cup and Super Cup holders and win more trophies.
But, for the future, he admits it would be a 'dream' to play in the English Premier League.
He told Sport Express: "At the end of the previous season, there were lots of rumours about my possible exit from Zenit, and, to be honest, I am sick and tired of it.
"My contract with the St Petersburg club will run for one more year. I want to play for this club and win new trophies, so I would be happy to end rumours about my quitting. I want to focus only on my work.
"I was said to move to a European club after we won the Uefa Cup and it only made me nervous.
"Maybe it even told upon several games at the end of the Russian championship. That is why I would like to concentrate on my preparations for the Uefa Cup and Russian Premier League campaigns."
Speaking about the interest from Bolton and Everton, he added: "I found out about Bolton not long ago, but Everton's interest in me was very serious.
"I could say that I was one step from moving there. But later I was told that they didn't find the money for my acquisition."
But he admitted that he would like to play in England one day, saying: "I am a fan of the English Premier League, and I have a dream of playing there."
As for now, Pogrebnyak is hoping he can help Zenit repeat their Uefa Cup success, with two clashes with German side Stuttgart in the last 32 up next month.
"Stuttgart are dangerous opponents with several players from the German national team. Our main target will be to not concede in both matches," he said.
