Wilson Palacios has expressed his delight at securing a switch to Tottenham and set his sights on a strong finish to the season.
The Honduran midfielder moved to White Hart Lane from Wigan last week, although he was suspended for the clash with Stoke on Tuesday.
He is looking forward to making his debut at Bolton this weekend as Tottenham continue their battle against relegation.
Harry Redknapp's men are currently just three points above the bottom three but Palacios is confident he has joined a club with a bright future.
"I think we all know Tottenham is a big club," he said.
"The players here are excellent quality and it is only a matter of time before we start to move up the league.
"With the players we have I'm sure we will soon go up the table. It is a squad packed full of quality.
"I'm extremely happy to have signed with Tottenham and so far I've had a fantastic welcome from all my team-mates. First of all we have a match tomorrow and I hope I am involved."
Palacios was initially brought to England for a trial period with Arsenal, before Arsene Wenger advised Steve Bruce to sign him for Birmingham.
The 24-year-old has no regrets about missing out on a deal with the Gunners, adding: "I went for a trial at Arsenal and it went well but they had a lot of midfielders at that time.
"Arsene Wenger recommended me to Steve Bruce though so I went to Birmingham.
"It is true I got on very well with Steve Bruce and he gave me a lot of confidence as a player.
"But this is a new stage for me. I have come to a big club and I am very happy. You have to be professional as a footballer."
