On-loan Portsmouth full-back Armand Traore has revealed to skysports.com that his comeback from injury looks set to be delayed.
Traore joined Pompey from Arsenal on a season-long loan last summer and showed promise during the first half of the campaign.
However, the 19-year-old has recently struggled with a hip strain and has not featured for the South Coast club since the end of January.
Traore looked to be nearing full fitness after he was given the green light to represent France Under 21s against their England counterparts on Tuesday.
But Traore was forced off on 80 minutes in the 2-0 win at the City Ground after he sustained an ankle injury, and now appears a doubt for Pompey's crunch clash with Hull City on Saturday.
Speaking at the Launch of FIFA 09's Ultimate team, he told skysports.com: "I hurt my ankle when playing for the Under 21s, so I might be a bit delayed."
Traore, though, is hopeful of playing a significant role in Portsmouth's bid for survival under interim manager Paul Hart.
He added: "I personally think I can offer something to the team. I think I can definitely help."
Armand Traore was speaking at launch on FIFA 09 Ultimate Team - a new strategic online game mode available on Xbox Live and PSN. For more info go to www.fifa09.ea.com/uk
