Blaise Matuidi has admitted that he is interested in Arsenal as speculation of a summer move mounts.

Playing for Gunners would be 'fantastic', says French midfielder

St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi could join Arsenal next season, according to various reports in the French media. Rumours have surfaced that St Etienne director of football Damien Comolli, who worked as an Arsenal scout for several years, has already agreed a deal with Arsene Wenger to take Matuidi to the Emirates. The 22-year-old is flattered to be linked with a move to the Gunners but insisted that the final decision would be made by his current club. "I am interested in playing abroad. I would like to test myself in one of the two best leagues in the world," Matuidi told skysports.com. "However, my club would have to be fine with everything. I owe them a lot. "Playing for Arsenal would be fantastic but I can't say anything about that yet. Everyone knows their wonderful style of football." Spanish side Sevilla are also rumoured to be interested in making a bid for the St Etienne captain.
