Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was pleased with his side's performance after they beat Middlesbrough 2-0 at the Emirates.
A Cesc Fabregas brace ensured the Gunners go into Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester United on the back of a win.
Wenger believed it had been a good game overall against a good Boro side and he praised the many positive aspects of his team's display.
He told
Sky Sports: "I'm very pleased, we get stronger and stronger and we look mature.
Efficient
"We master now better - much better - when to accelerate, when to calm down. We are efficient, our passing is good so there was many positive aspects in this game."
Wenger confirmed that defender Mikael Silvestre had been substituted at half-time with a back spasm, although he is still not definitely ruled out of the clash against his former club.
"We'll have to see tomorrow and Tuesday," said Wenger, who added there were no other new injury problems resulting from the win.
The Gunners boss added his side would continue to fight hard to try and overtake Chelsea for third spot in the league.

"You can see how much the team loves to play the game and loves to go for it and we'll continue to do that," said Wenger, who confirmed he has not yet picked the team for Wednesday's game, which is being shown live on
Sky Sports 2 and
HD2.
"I pick the team for today that's enough - let's enjoy the victory today and prepare conscientiously, relax with big belief for Wednesday," said the Frenchman, who is expecting his team to play positively at Old Trafford.
"We will always try to score goals everywhere we go and we try to win the games," he said.
"We know each other well but still both teams try to play and I believe it will be a very exciting game."
