Benfica defender interested in English switch

Benfica defender Luisao has admitted he was flattered to hear that he had been linked with a move to Manchester City. The powerful defender, on the books of Benfica since 2003, has persistently been linked with a move away from Portugal. Benfica officials were in London last week to discuss club matters and it has been reported they offered the services of Luisao and team-mate Oscar Cardozo to Manchester City. And Luisao, who has been linked with Juventus in the past, concedes he would find it very hard to resist an offer from the Premier League. "I have not received any offer or contact yet," he told Globoesporte. "I have not spoken with my agent for some days, but I will call him to know if he has something. "For me it is very interesting. Everyone dreams of playing in England and I am not different. I am glad but, for now, I have a contract with Benfica, where I am also happy."
