Burnley leading chase for French forward

Skysports.com understands Monaco striker Frederic Nimani is closing in on a move to the Premier League. A number of clubs are understood to have enquired about the 21-year-old's availability in this month's transfer window. Birmingham and Burnley have both been credited with an interest in the tall frontman in the past and it seems the France Under 21 international is set for a move to England. Nimani scored seven goals in his first full season for Monaco last term, but he has struggled for first-team opportunities this campaign following a fall-out with Guy Lacombe. The 6ft 4in target man is keen on a move away in search of regular action and the player's agent, Willie McKay, has confirmed he is talks with four Premier League clubs and a Championship side about a deal for Nimani. "Frederic is over here in England now and I am speaking to four Premier League clubs about him," McKay told skysports.com. "Monaco are willing to let him leave and Frederic is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football. "He is 6ft 4in, strong, can play with both feet and is good in the air so I think he would be a major success in English football."
