Striker Simon Cox insists he can have no complaints about his lack of playing time at West Brom this season.
The former Swindon Town marksman has found first-team football hard to come by following the team's promotion to the Premier League.
Over the summer manager Roberto Di Matteo added to his squad meaning the likes of Cox have seen minimal playing time in league action.
He has featured just twice in the Premier League this season, although he did help himself to a brace in Tuesday's 4-1 Carling Cup success over Leicester City.
Although Cox has slipped down Di Matteo's pecking order he is happy being patient waiting for his chance and is ready to seize his opportunity when the time presents itself.
"I can't argue with anything at the moment," he told the club's official website. "The lads are flying in the league and there is a great feeling around the club.
"The head coach picks a team on a Saturday and if I'm in it, that's great. If I'm not and I'm on the bench and he decides to bring me on, I am also happy with that.
"I have to wait my turn and this season is about patience for me. The lads who are playing are doing really well.
"We're scoring goals and not getting beaten, which is a good habit to be in, so I just can't complain. When I came to the club, I knew it wasn't a club where I was going to start every game.
"Firstly, I had to prove myself in the Championship. I was a League One player who had to make the step up and prove myself to the players, fans and the head coach.
"We ended up having a really good season and getting promoted to the Premier League, so two seasons on I'm now a Premier League player.
"It's a situation where I again have to prove to the head coach I can do a job. I can only do that by doing well in the games that I play in, or the ones that I come on in, like last night and the previous games like Manchester City in the cup.
"If you start the game, do well and score it can only do you good and you try to make sure the head coach has a selection headache for the Saturday games."
