Brazilian hoping to join top English club

Former Manchester City and Hull midfielder Geovanni has set his sights on a return to England, according to his agent. The 32-year-old Brazilian is currently contracted to native club Vitoria but it is thought they would be willing to let him go this month or in the summer. Geovanni's agent, Herbert Soo, claims several clubs in Europe have made approaches but says the attacking midfielder is only interested in joining an English side. Soo told Sky Sports: "Geovanni would be interested in a move back to England. "Although he has concrete offers from other clubs in Europe he has his heart set on a return to England. "He really enjoyed playing in England. He loved the fans and the atmosphere at the games. "He believes he still has a lot to offer to a top club and we are exploring what options are available for a potential move this month or in the summer." Geovanni spent the 2007-08 campaign at Manchester City, scoring three goals in 19 Premier League appearances under former boss Sven Goran Eriksson. He went on to spend two seasons with Hull before joining Major League Soccer outfit San Jose Earthquakes.
