Argentine striker among the goals again

Carlos Tevez continues to work on his match sharpness and was back among the goals for Manchester City's reserves on Wednesday. The Argentine, who has settled his differences with Roberto Mancini following a self-imposed exile in his homeland, has figured off the bench in City's last two Premier League fixtures. He is pressing hard for a starting berth, though, after proving that a six-month absence has robbed him of none of his attacking instincts. Tevez scored one and made another in midweek as City's second string brushed aside Morecambe 6-1. The 28-year-old has now scored twice for the Blues' elite development squad since returning to training a month ago. He will now be hoping to force his way into Mancini's plans for a home date with Sunderland on Saturday. Owen Hargreaves also started the game at Morecambe and could make a return to senior action before the season is out.
