Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers has praised his side for securing Premier League football next season with a dominant 3-0 home win over Blackburn Rovers.
Rodgers' Swansea team were dominant throughout and could have won by more than the three-goal margin in an impressive performance over floundering Rovers.
On-loan Gylfi Sigurdsson curled in the opener on 37 minutes, Nathan Dyer netted six minutes later and Scott Dann added an unfortunate own goal on 63 minutes.
Swansea's poor run of form includes five successive defeats but Rodgers highlighted his side's positive performance.
"I thought the boys were outstanding today and we had a real hunger for our game," Rodgers told Sky Sports.
"Today to keep a clean sheet and score three goals against a team that have the ability to score many goals.
"I was so proud of the players today and I thought in their overall performance they dominated the game all the way through and deserved the win."
On-loan midfielder Sigurdsson impressed, opening the scoring for the Swans with a beautiful curling effort into the top corner and Rodgers is well aware of what he can offer.
"He brings goals. He's an attacking midfield player, he can score off either foot. That's his first goal at home which is ironic as a lot of his goals have come away.
"He's got a great mentality, he's a top professional. He's a young guy with a big future in the game and you can see from today he's well suited to how we play," he said.
Rodgers was cautious when asked if Swansea will make the Iceland international's move from German side Hoffenheim permanent.
"Well that's up to the club to look at, our only concentration is to enjoy this win and look to prepare for next week.
"I know he enjoys it, whether he's here or not is another matter."
