Jol will make decision on injured defender in the summer

Fulham boss Martin Jol has not ruled out the possibility of offering Zdenek Grygera a new contract but will wait until the injured defender returns to fitness in the summer before making a decision. The 31-year-old moved to Craven Cottage last summer from Juventus, however, he ruptured his knee ligaments in November and has since not featured. Grygera's current deal expires in June but Jol wants to give the experienced Czech Republic international a chance to prove his worth instead of off-loading him ahead of the new season. "I feel we owe it to him to keep him here and get him fit, and then we can make a decision, or he can if he has other offers," the manager told the Fulham Chronicle. "The main thing for him is to get fit. That won't be until the middle of July and then we can make a decision."
