The classy midfielder will fit in well at Villa according to Holman

Brett Holman is backing fellow Aston Villa summer signing Karim El Ahmadi to take the Premier League by storm after playing against him for years in Holland. The Sydney-born Holman joined Feyenoord in 2002 before moving to AZ Alkmaar four years later and was part of their 2008/2009 title winning team. And the Australian attacker, who signed a pre-contract agreement with Villa back in March, is a keen admirer of El Ahmadi - who joined Feyenoord after he left - having faced him on a number of occasions. "I've played against him quite a few times in Holland and you can see what sort of player he is if you study the footage," Holman told Villa's official website. "He stands out in the teams he's played at. He played at FC Twente and also Feyenoord. "When he was at Twente he was one of the up-and-coming midfield players who was very highly thought of and was tipped to make it big. " The Morocco international was a driving force behind Feyenoord's campaign last season which saw them qualify for the Champions League as runners-up behind Ajax in the Eredivisie. The 27-year-old became Paul Lambert's first signing as Villa manager when he signed a three-year deal following his £2m switch.
