Solskjaer held talks with Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner at the end of last season before withdrawing his interest in replacing Alex McLeish.
He had more recently been linked with the vacant posts at Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers before fellow countryman Henning Berg and Dougie Freedman were appointed respectively.
The Norwegian, who scored over 150 goals in his playing career, has committed himself to Molde and does not believe it is the right time to change clubs.
He said: "Right now, I have full focus on the job at Molde, we will see when it will be time for a foreign club.
"There have been clubs who have been interested in me and Rene (Skovdahl) is an important part of my team.
"We are working well together."
