The Sierra Leone striker, who moved to Carrow Road on loan from MLS side Kansas City in January, stepped off the bench to score the equaliser six minutes from time in only his second appearance for the club.
Chris Hughton's side then snatched all three points courtesy of Grant Holt's injury-time winner, with the daunting prospect of a trip to Old Trafford next on the agenda on Saturday.
Norwich were shock winners against Sir Alex Ferguson's men in the reverse fixture at Carrow Road back in November - United's last defeat in the Premier League - and Kamara is relishing the challenge of coming up against the runaway leaders, having helped secure a victory over the Red Devils in the past.
Kamara said: "We played against United when I was with Kansas and they were on a pre-season tour in 2010. We were the only team in the States to beat them and I scored and got an assist in a 2-1 friendly win.
"Almost everyone was in the United team, including Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, and Dimitar Berbatov scored their goal. All their top guys were playing. So I suppose I might be a marked man against them next week now!
"But that actually makes it a lot of fun for me. I'm used to being man marked in America and it just means I have to work much harder.
"It means you have to do different tricks to get past people and I really enjoy all that."
Kamara insists he will never forget scoring his first goal for the Canaries, particularly as it helped Norwich climb to eight points above the relegation zone.
He added: "It's a great moment in my life and it means such a lot to me. I'm living the dream. It's not just scoring in a 4-1 defeat or something like that, it's an important goal and it's one that I am going to carry with me for ever.
"The Norwich kit man wouldn't let me keep the jersey though, so I'm going to have to have a talk with him about that!"
