Andre Villas-Boas' men are currently in fifth place, two points behind Arsenal and a further point adrift of third placed Chelsea in the race for a Champions League spot.
They do have a game in hand on the Gunners - a tough looking encounter against top four rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. Therefore Spurs know if they take maximum points from their remaining games, a place in the top four will be assured.
That simple equation is all that Bale is worrying about heading into the closing stages of the campaign.
The PFA Player and Young Player of the Year insists he is not concerned about what rivals team do in their remaining matches.
"We know what the job is we have to do and we are concentrating on ourselves," he told The Sun. "If we win all our games we qualify fourth, so it's in our hands. We will be concentrating on every game looking to play our best football and getting maximum points. If we do that there's nothing anyone else can do about it.
"Last year we should have been in the Champions League when we finished fourth but lost out because Chelsea won the final. It was hard to take, but there was nothing we could do about it. We had proved we could get in the top four again and didn't buckle under too much pressure.
"It's going to be coming down to the wire again this year and we know we have the ability to do it. Even if our own fans are a bit nervous we have to believe in ourselves and use any nerves that we have in a positive way."
