The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international scored the Tigers' equaliser at Goodison Park after coming on for the injured Danny Graham.
However, Everton ran out 2-1 winners in the end to condemn City to their first defeat since August 31.
Sagbo, who signed from French club Evian for £1.6million this summer, had been out of action for almost a month after he was shown a straight red card for an attempted headbutt in City's 1-0 win over Norwich.
But now the striker is hopeful of adding to his tally when Steve Bruce's side travel to White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham next weekend.
"I feel pleased to score for the Hull City fans and hopefully I can score again next week at Tottenham," said Sagbo.
"I feel good and can stay in the team, hopefully. I feel I played well within the team.
"Norwich was very difficult and I got a red card. But I have worked hard (since) and played and now I am happy. I am proud.
"Danny's injury got me onto the pitch and I hope he is okay. I was really happy for scoring. But we lost, which is disappointing.
"We were unlucky. I think we played very well and could have maybe got something."
