Liverpool took the lead twice in Saturday's Merseyside derby but found themselves trailing 3-2 with just eight minutes left to play at Goodison Park.
Daniel Sturridge snatched a dramatic 89th-minute equaliser to earn Liverpool a share of the spoils - and although Mignolet feared his side may lose, the Belgium international acknowledged Liverpool cannot be discounted when their first-choice strike duo are on the pitch.
"I have to be honest once they scored at 3-2 you think you are losing the game but looking back we are always there scoring goals," the Liverpool goalkeeper said.
"We always get a chance with Daniel and Luis and we know they have goals.
"Daniel scored the equaliser which was very important for us as it means we can keep going in the way we started this season and make sure we build on that.
"If we win next week this can be a very important point for us."
Mignolet was the busier of the two goalkeepers in the 221st Merseyside derby, conceding three goals from Everton's 12 shots on target.
All three Everton goals stemmed from set-pieces. Mignolet conceded he was disappointed by the manner in which the goals were conceded but praised his compatriot Romelu Lukaku, who looked to have sealed three points for his side with a powerful header from a Kevin Mirallas corner.
"As a goalkeeper you don't want to be busy," Mignolet said. "You like it in training but you have to do the things you are asked and do the best you can.
"It is not nice to concede from set-pieces but we also scored from set-pieces (all three goals).
"We have to make sure we do things better in the next few games, but Romelu is a physical presence and sometimes you have to give credit to the attacker as well."
