Premier League: Mauricio Isla starting to feel more at home at QPR

Mauricio Isla is still getting to grips with life in England, but is starting to feel more settled at Queens Park Rangers.
The Chile international full-back has moved to Loftus Road on a season-long loan from Juventus.
He has been handed an immediate role under Harry Redknapp, figuring in Premier League games with Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland.
Isla believes he is improving with each appearance and with more training minutes under his belt, and has enjoyed his early experiences in new surroundings.
He told QPR’s official website: “I still feel that I have to keep working.
“I took a holiday after the World Cup and you can see the difference when you compare yourself to the guys who never went to the Finals.
“Against Sunderland I felt really good. The game against Tottenham I was very tired and didn’t feel as if I prepared properly physically during the summer with Juventus.
“On Saturday though I was much happier as I felt very good physically and that I’m starting to find the level required.”
Isla also says that he will have no problem adapting to different systems under Redknapp, with 3-5-2 and 4-4-1-1 used so far, with the 26-year-old of the opinion that his game is ideally suited to the challenges posed by the Premier League.
He said: “We played a little differently (against Sunderland) playing with four at the back. Our first match was very difficult and when you play for a new team it takes a little time to get to know each other properly.
“In England the majority of teams play with four at the back. The forwards are also asked to do a lot of defending.
“It’s a powerful game here with lots of pace and for that reason we can play comfortably with three or four.
“Right now I have to get to know my team-mates better in terms of their movements on the pitch and how they play but right now I feel really good.”
Meanwhile, QPR have confirmed that two more summer signings have received international clearance.
Eduardo Vargas and Niko Kranjcar have obtained the relevant paperwork, putting them in contention for a Super Sunday clash with Manchester United on September 14.
