Hibernian have signed striker Islam Feruz from Chelsea on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.
The 19-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from Celtic in 2011 after spending most of his youth career in Glasgow but will now wear the number 20 shirt after securing a temporary move to Easter Road.
Feruz, a Scotland U21 international, is yet to make a first-team appearance at Chelsea but has spent time on loan at OFI Crete and Blackpool.
"I am excited to be coming back to Scotland and get some first team football under my belt," he told www.hibernianfc.co.uk.
"Hibs have a good young team and I've played with a number of the boys before with the national team.
"The manager has shown faith me and I'm looking forward to repaying it by giving 100 percent when I'm selected."
Head coach Alan Stubbs said he was delighted to have secured the loan deal.
"He is another really exciting young talent, a player who has fantastic ability and potential," he told the Hibs website. "He will add a different dimension to the options that we currently have.
"We would like to thank Chelsea for allowing Islam to join us on loan, and we're looking forward to helping him realise his undoubted potential."
