Sky Sports' Fantasy Football guru looks at who is likely to pick up the points this weekend

Sky Sports Fantasy Football bosses can expect Everton's Marouane Fellaini to continue to rack up the points when Sunderland visit Goodison Park this weekend. The towering midfielder turned target man has been one of the star performers of the Premier League season so far, taking his goal tally to five last weekend as he bagged a brace against Fulham. A third Sky Sports man-of-the-match award saw the Belgium international pick up the top scorer accolade for the gameweek with 17 points, taking his overall points tally to 61. At a modest price tag of £6.1m, this means Fellaini is earning his bosses 10 points per million, making him the fifth best-value-for-money player in the game behind Raheem Sterling, Michu, Mark Noble and Santi Cazorla. While some may question whether the 24-year-old will continue to bag big given his lesser scoring tallies of previous campaigns, it is clear David Moyes has molded him into a very different role, one which looks virtually unplayable at present. Sky Bet are certainly convince, making him just 5/4 to score against the Black Cats on Saturday.

Reliant on Robin

One player who has been unplayable for somewhat longer is Robin van Persie, who has picked up whether he left off last season having slotted into the Manchester United system seamlessly. The Dutchman is Sky Bet's shortest priced player in their goalscorer markets this weekend at 4/7 to net anytime at Aston Villa, having netted eight times in as many starts this season. That tally will surely be added to in a fixture which United have not lost since 1995, especially given the struggles of Paul Lambert's men this season. Meanwhile, Villa's backline looks worth giving a wide-berth as they travel to Manchester City and then host Arsenal in their following fixtures. While Van Persie's move may not have impacted his own scoring record, Wayne Rooney's has certainly dropped, with the England striker netting just twice as he operates from a deeper role in the team, although he has contributed five assists. United's midfield is often worth swerving giving the amount Sir Alex Ferguson rotates and their general failure to chip in with goals but, with Nani out injured, Antonio Valencia could be a shrewd signing. The Ecuador winger has started the last three games and justified his place with a man-of-the-match award and two assists, showing the sort of form which saw him rack up 14 assists and 124 points from just 22 starts last season.

Santi delivers

Arsenal are the other strong favourites to win this weekend as Fulham visit the Emirates but, with no prolific marksmen screaming out to be picked, midfielders Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta look the best options. Cazorla is the Gunners' joint top scorer with two goals this season and the game's overall top points scorer with 76, one more than Liverpool's Luis Suarez. The Spanish duo have benefited heavily from the new bonus points system thanks to their pin-point passing, with Arteta picking up two extra points in all but one game for completing 60+ passes, while making 4+ successful tackles on four occasions. The former Everton playmaker has actually picked up 26 of his 52 points via the bonus scheme, while Cazorla has the second most with 20. Elsewhere, West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie was the joint top scorer last weekend as he bagged a brace against Southampton but struggles to appeal. With Shane Long and Romelu Lukaku both also in contention to lead the line, the Nigerian striker has started just half of the Baggies' games, while he is also off to the African Cup of Nations in January. Instead, the Baggies' backline holds the most appeal, especially for home fixtures, having kept four clean sheets at the Hawthorns this season. Super Sunday's clashes are somewhat harder to predict, but Juan Mata looks Chelsea's main threat having directly contributed towards eight goals in his last four games before being rested at Swansea. Samir Nasri and Gareth Bale should both hold heavy influences in the early kick-off considering injury problems, with Spurs' defence likely to be left vulnerable if Sandro fails to be fit in time, while Micah Richards' physical presence will be missed at right-back.
