Soccer AM's expert interviewer has been a busy boy recently, catching up with Ride Along actors Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, the video of which you can see by clicking here.
However, Tubes also chatted with Norwich star and England World Cup hopeful John Ruddy and you can check out what the gloveman had to say on his international ambitions, banter with his Norwich team-mates, and becoming a goalkeeper by reading the paragraphs below...
JOHN SAYS: It is an ambition of mine to get to the World Cup, as it is for every English player, and if I can play like I did against Tottenham week in, week out for the rest of the season hopefully that will be enough to get me there. It was really disappointing to miss out on the Euros in 2012 with a finger injury but even though I was getting married 10 days later and it was my ring finger, I can assure you I was really injured! When the ring went on I was in agony.
JOHN SAYS: I shaved a Christmas tree into my chest and wrapped myself in lights but it wasn't for my wife. My and Snoddy (Robert Snodgrass) had a bit of a laugh about the quote from the Step Brothers film and I decided to shave my chest. Why not? Snoddy is very funny but he is Scottish so you can't really understand what he says, and to be fair we've got a really good group of lads at Norwich and we have really good camaraderie and a laugh and a joke.
JOHN SAYS: I didn't start in goal until I was 14 so I was quite late in terms of goalkeeping but I shoved myself in there because I was a big lump, awful out on the pitch and wanted a laugh with my mates. I got a trial at Cambridge and the rest, as they say, is history. If I wasn't a footballer I would have probably joined the army but my aim now is to stay in the Premier League for a long time.
