Paul Pogba, the world's most expensive player, was pictured for the first time training with his new club Manchester United on Friday.
Photographers were allowed into the Aon Training Complex to see Pogba, who joined United from Juventus for a record £89m on Tuesday, train with the team.
The Football Association confirmed that Pogba would not be permitted to play because of a ban, relating to two yellow cards issued in last season's Coppa Italia.
Mourniho explained in a pre-match press conference, however, that the 23-year-old would be free to play for his new club by next week.
It is expected Pogba will feature in United's second Premier League fixture of the season, when they host Southampton on Friday.
Pogba looked at ease with his teammates during the training session, having returned to the club he left in 2012.
