CALMUND: "LUCIO IS NOT FOR SALE"

Italian giants Lazio are reported to have tabled a staggering 70 Million Mark (£21.1 million) for the 23-year-old defensive tower.
Lucio only joined Bayer in December 2000 but his ability on the ball combined with great defensive awareness have singled him out as one of the brightest defenders in the game.
Leverkusen general manager Reiner Calmund insists that the club will do their utmost to hold on to the Samba star.
"He is not for sale and represents an integral part of our new-look team," declared Calmund.
Lazio will certainly have the financial clout to test Bayer's and Calmund's resolve with Juan Veron and Pavel Nedved poised to complete multi-million pound moves to Manchester United and Juventus respectively.
