UNITED REJECT ANTWERP'S CHADWICK BID

MANCHESTER UNITED have rebuffed an approach from feeder club Royal Antwerp to take Luke Chadwick to De Bosuil on loan.

The 20-year-old winger enjoyed a productive spell with the Belgian club during the 1999/2000 season, scoring on his debut and helping them win promotion to the Belgian First Division, and he was thrust into first team action by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on his return to England.

However, he enjoyed another successful loan spell with the club at the beginning of the 2000/01 season before becoming a regular in United's first team squad, and the Belgians want him for a third time after they lost winger William Verbeek with a long term injury.

Meanwhile, former United striker Mark Robins is selling his collection of medals from his days at Old Trafford.

Robins's FA Cup Winners medal from 1990, a European Cup Winners Cup medal and a European Super Cup medal will all go under the hammer at Christie's Auction House in London on September 27.
