The Argentinian midfielder gave a press conference in order to preview the forthcoming World Cup finals, and his comments provide more weight to the feeling that he may still be at Old Trafford next term.
"I am very comfortable in Manchester and, for now, I am not going to change team," he stated.
"Beckham was, in the beginning, a little down because the results were not favourable, but, things corrected themselves later, and it seems that he will play in the World Cup without any problems.
"I am very happy with his recovery because he is a very good person and also my friend.
"All those who love soccer would like to see a player like Beckham in the World Cup.
"Let us hope he plays against us, but does not beat us."
The former Lazio star also spoke about the press in England.
"I was a little under siege when Aldo Duscher had the bad luck to injure Beckham," he added.
"There they said it was something that was prepared by Marcelo Bielsa. In England, there is much speculation. But, except for some little problems, I do not have to face disagreeable situations.
"As soon as the World Cup draw was made, I was alternating in the team with Beckham and they began to ask why an Argentinian played instead of an Englishman.
"But these are normal things there. They have some newspapers that want to generate conflict."
