The defeat in Sapporo puts Marcelo Bielsa's in a must-win situation against Sweden on Wednesday, as the South Americans look to secure a spot in the second round.
The Manchester United midfielder was substituted at half-time for Valencia's Pablo Aimar, after failing to cut open the England back-line with his passing and possession, which not up to his usual standard.
Veron is determined to put things right in their final Group F match against their Scandinavian opponents in Miyagi and revealed that he angry with himself for playing poorly against England.
He said: "I realise when I play badly, it is normal that it troubles me.
"I have a quarrel with myself and that is good but I hope to be able to improve (against Sweden)."
He conceded that England were the better side last Friday but admitted the match was not the most exciting of contests.
Veron added: "England took advantage of their opportunity. It was a dull game.
"We lost a possibility to qualify but we can still get through."
