United report injuries

A NUMBER of international managers are likely to be on the phone to Old Trafford on Monday, as Sir Alex Ferguson has reported a number of injuries in the Manchester derby on Sunday.

United`s 1-1 draw with City was far from the blood and guts encounter that you normally expect of such occasions.

However, ahead of a busy international programme, Ferguson has given a headache to the English, French and Welsh camps.

The Scot has revealed that Paul Scholes, Mikael Silvestre and Ryan Giggs picked up knocks on Sunday.

He said: "Paul Scholes has a groin injury, we will do an assessment on that.

"Mikael Silvestre has a bit of a problem with his Achilles, we will have a look it, and Ryan Giggs has a calf injury and we will take a look at that.

"But a decision won`t be taken until the morning."

England, France and Wales face Australia, Czech Republic and Bosnia-Herzegovina respectively.
