The Serbian international has attracted the interest of a host of clubs including Manchester United, Internazionale, Milan and Juventus in recent months.
It has been suggested that Lazio may be forced to cash-in on the midfielder to help reduce their debts, but Stankovic is desperate to stay at the capital club as he is happy there.
"There is an amazing coaching staff here in which I am able to continue learning from," said Stankovic.
"I don't want to move away from Rome and I am ready to do anything in order to remain, even accept a financial sacrifice."
Lazio face Wisla Krakow of Poland in the Uefa Cup on Thursday and Stankovic is refusing to underestimate the Poles.
"We shouldn't underestimate them at all," added Stankovic. "We want to win the Cup but Wisla are a good side.
"It will be vital that we don't concede a goal at home."
