REAL MADRID sporting director Jorge Valdano has told planetfootball.com that there is no bid from any club, other than Middlesbrough, for Cameroonian star Geremi.
Geremi is currently on loan at The Riverside and Boro have an option to buy him, but The Teessiders are baulking at the near £10 million asking price - which was agreed in the summer before he moved.
Boro are still hoping that they can work something out with Madrid, although other clubs are being linked with possible interest.
Manchester United were one such club and some English tabloids claimed that an £8 million deal had been agreed.
Geremi's UK representative Barry Silkman told planetfootball on Friday that the reports were wrong and now Real supremo Valdano has confirmed this.
"The only thing we know is the rumours in the papers," Valdano told planetfootball.
"We do not have any other offers on the table for Geremi."
Valdano added that no United official spoke to him or Real about any transfers deal following their Champions League tie on Tuesday.
