Wes Brown is hopeful that he has finally overcome his injury problems.Manchester United defender Wes Brown is hopeful that he has finally overcome his injury problems.
Brown has seen his progress at Old Trafford blighted by a number of serious injuries in the last few years.
The 24-year-old was injured in the early stages of pre-season and missed the start of the new campaign.
Brown has now played in United's last four games, with his last two outings coming at right back following the return of Rio Ferdinand.
The England international is now setting his sights on a regular run in the United side in whatever position.
"When I first started to play it was at right back for a couple of seasons before moving into the centre of defence and it is just a matter of finding my feet again and getting used to it," said Brown.
"I am not getting these little niggles and I have got to keep focused, keep my mind on the game and focus on playing well and trying my best to help the team.
"Gary (Neville) will definitely want to get back in the team as he has been there a long time.
"All I want to do is play well and impress the manager, but we are a team and whoever plays the other team is going to make sure he does his best."
Brown also hailed the return of Ferdinand and the probable debut of Wayne Rooney against Fenerbahce.
"It does give you confidence Rio's come back and he's been terrific," said Brown of Ferdinand.
"When he was training with us he never looked out of shape at all and everyone has got their confidence back since he's been back.
"Wayne's a good player and straight away you can tell how good a player he is as he is strong, quick and when you play against him you have to look for him because he can cause problems."
