Scouts from all over Europe have flocked to monitor the progress of AZ Alkmaar.Scouts from all over Europe descended on Alkmaar on Saturday to watch De Eredivisie's top of the table clash between AZ and PSV Eindhoven.
Under coach Co Adriaanse this season, AZ have been the surprise package of Dutch football and have gate-crashed the usual title battle between Ajax and PSV.
Representatives from Premiership sides Bolton Wanderers, Manchester United, and Charlton Athletic, as well as German side HSV and Spanish outfit Deportivo la Coruna, were out in force to witness the 0-0 stalemate.
Inevitably the unheralded rise of AZ has made big stars of previously lower profile players, and the cream of European football are sitting up and taking notice of events at the Almaarder Hout.
Deportivo have now had scouts attending the last three AZ games, although it is unknown as of yet which player they are coveting.
One player who has been linked with a move to Spain is stopper Jan Kromkamp, who started for Holland with club-mate Joris Mathijsen against England last week.
Other players to make an impression include keeper Henk Timmer and midfielder Denny Landzaat, and it remains to be seen if AZ can hold onto their best performers come the opening of the transfer window over the summer.
The match was also attended by the two sides's European opponents as AZ face Aachen in the Uefa Cup, whilst PSV take on Monaco in the UEFA Champions League next week.
