Rotherham United tried to sign Manchester United's David Fox before last Thursday's transfer deadline.

The Miller might have got their man but the youngster was committed to undergoing a trial in Holland.

The midfielder, son of former Exeter City manager Peter Fox, was training with Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag.

Rotherham are still keen on the United starlet and will renew their interest at the end of the season.

The South Yorkshire outfit are currently bottom of The Championship and will likely be plying their trade in League One next term.
