Bryan Robson has refused to rule out signing Kieran Richardson.
West Brom manager Bryan Robson has remained cool over talk that he is planning to sign Kieran Richardson on a permanent deal.
Richardson joined Albion on loan in January and his arrival has coincided with a mini-revival at The Hawthorns.
Following their impressive 4-1 victory over Charlton, West Brom are now only four points from safety.
And rumours are suggesting that Robson is keen to snap up Richardson when the summer transfer window opens.
"I haven't looked that far ahead, all I'm trying to do is help Kieran as a player," Robson told The Express and Star. "That's what I promised Sir Alex (Ferguson) I would do."
Robson's cool response struggled to hide his clear admiration for the youngster, and Robson is full of praise for Richardson's attitude.
"The experience of playing in the Premiership is really good for Kieran," added Robson.
"The statistics we get show that his energy levels are great. He's putting lots of energy into games. I can't fault him in terms of attitude.
"I have spoken to Sir Alex on a few occasions, telling him what he is like around the place, his attitude and the way he has played on Saturday. That's the most important thing, what you do on a Saturday afternoon."
If Richardson and West Brom manage to climb the relegation mountain that faces them, few would bet against Robson moving for the midfielder's signature at the end of the season.
