Carlo content at Chelsea

Chelsea number two Carlo Cudicini is not in talks with Arsenal or Man United.

Chelsea number two Carlo Cudicini is not in talks with Arsenal or Manchester United.

The Blues shot-stopper has been forced to sit on the bench for the whole of the season with Petr Cech in brilliant form in front of him.

Cudicini himself was regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in The Premiership before Cech's arrival last summer.

The Italian's situation has not gone unnoticed and both United and Arsenal - who continue to have goalkeeping problems - are thought to be very keen, although reports that talks are already underway have been denied.

Chelsea have always insisted they want two top-class goalkeepers and Cudicini is under contract until 2008 - meaning he will have to stay if The Blues want him to.

Cudicini's agent Frederico Pastorello explained to skysports.com his client's current situation is quite simple.

"Nobody has called us," he told skysports.com.

"The season just gone has been hard in some ways as he has not been playing, but it is with Chelsea.

"He has three years left on his current deal and at the moment there are no talks planned as [Jose] Mourinho likes him a lot.

"Carlo will have to think what he wants, but he does have the next three years there - he is a little bit unhappy but Chelsea will decide."
