Daniel Nardiello could return to League One side Barnsley on a permanent basis.Former Manchester United striker Daniel Nardiello may be set to return to Barnsley on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old, who was released by the Old Trafford club last month, spent last season on loan with the League One club.
The youngster's availability looks to have alerted Tykes boss Andy Ritchie, with reports suggesting Nardiello will earn a two-year deal with the South Yorkshire club.
Meanwhile, Ritchie has warned winger Chris Shuker to either accept their offer of a new deal or look for pastures new.
The former Manchester City player has been holding out for a better deal with the Oakwell club, but Ritchie insists there is no more money available to meet the midfielder's wage demands.
"As a club, we've come to our final offer and now it is up to him," Ritchie told the Sheffield Star.
"We have got a wage structure at the club and we are not going to break it for anybody. We have simply got to keep within the scheme of things.
"If we go up, then we'd start to think about better wages and bringing in players on better wages, but for now, we have to stick to the structure."
