Manchester United striker Louis Saha is targeting a return to action before the close of October.
The pacey French hit-man has endured a disappointing start to the new campaign, having not started a game this term after picking up a knee injury in close season.
Saha's career at Old Trafford, after an enterprising start, has been punctuated by a series of injuries that have prevented the former Fulham favourite from ever truly establishing himself in Manchester.
However, having undergone a successful cartilage operation and rehabilitation programme back in his homeland, Saha is back in England and pushing for full fitness once more.
''I feel much better and can run again,'' Saha told the Daily Star.
''Providing everything goes normally, I hope to be training in a fortnight.''
Wes Brown and Quinton Fortune are also looking to step up their comebacks and it is thought the trio could make a reserve team clash on October 20.
