Phil Parkinson is remaining tight-lipped on reports Greg Halford could join Man United.Colchester United manager Phil Parkinson is remaining tight-lipped on reports Greg Halford could join Manchester United in the New Year.
The Red Devils have been linked with a £1 million move for the 20-year-old, whose versatility allows him to operate in defence, midfield or attack.
United are believed to have dispatched scouts to Colchester's recent 5-0 drubbing of Gillingham, a game in which Halford netted twice.
However, Parkinson has heard nothing of the interest and is also in the dark whether scouts from the Premiership club have been to see Halford in action.
"I haven't heard anything, and I haven't been aware of any scouts," explained Parkinson.
"Greg's a good player, and people were starting to talk about him last season, but he didn't maintain his form.
"He's getting back to that level again, and both Greg and I have to learn from the last time around and make sure he keeps it going this time."
