The Norwegian FA have asked for a compromise concerning John Obi Mikel. The Norwegian FA have urged all parties concerned to reach a compromise concerning John Obi Mikel.
The Nigerian starlet is at the centre of a drawn-out tug-of-war between Premiership rivals Chelsea and Manchester United.
Earlier this year, The Red Devils agreed a deal with his club Lyn Oslo for Mikel to move to Old Trafford.
But no sooner than the transfer had been announced, Mikel absconded and claimed he wanted to join Premiership champions Chelsea.
The matter is now due to be resolved by Fifa, but the saga took another twist earlier this week when Mikel walked out on Lyn.
With no immediate solution in sight, the Norwegian FA (NFF) have called on everyone connected to the case to come to a satisfactory agreement.
"We have issued a serious request to the parties involved to start a discussion to see whether they can agree some kind of a deal," NFF chairman Sondre Kafjord told NRK.
Lyn's lawyer Erik Nadheim confirmed that he and the club's chairman Sveinung Lunde had met with two of Mikel's representatives on Friday.
Nadheim said: "It was a decent atmosphere and we will continue to discuss in view of a possible solution."
