Man Utd duo Eddie Johnson and Paul McShane have extended their loan spells.Manchester United duo Eddie Johnson and Paul McShane have extended their loan spells at Crewe and Brighton respectively.
Teenage defender McShane will stay at Brighton until the end of the season after injury had threatened to cut short his stay at the Withdean Stadium.
McShane quickly recovered from the injury he sustained last month and Seagulls chief Mark McGhee has moved to keep him until the end of the current campaign.
Johnson has extended his stay at Crewe until the end of the season and will push through the deal when the transfer window reopens in January.
The young striker has impressed at Crewe during his initial six-month loan stay and Alex boss Dario Gradi was keen to keep him for even longer.
Meanwhile, Crewe look set to miss out on Polish duo Antoni Lukasiewicz and Marcin Kus.
Both players have been on trial at Crewe and have caught the eye of Gradi.
Gradi was keen to sign the pair, but the veteran manager fears he may be priced out a move for both players.
"I don't think anything will happen because it is a big risk and an expensive risk," Gradi told the club's official website.
"The figures being talked about are more than we thought and if they don't move then that is the end of it as far as I'm concerned."
