Tim Howard has revealed that David Moyes had a big part to play in his move.
Tim Howard has revealed that it was David Moyes' enthusiasm and ambition that convinced him to make a season-long loan move from Old Trafford to Goodison Park.
Speaking on Everton TV about his new manager, the USA international heaped praise on Moyes and set out his goals for the new campaign.
"David Moyes struck me as being very humble and honest and the biggest thing for me is that he is ambitious," stated the talented keeper.
Howard admitted that he is equally ambitious and added: "I have fire in my belly and I want to achieve some good things. This club is built for success and I am looking forward to being a small piece in that puzzle."
Howard met up with the rest of the squad on Monday in preparation for the trip to Preston for Paul McKenna's testimonial. New striker Andrew Johnson is likely to be on show but centre back Joleon Lescott is a doubt.
However, physio Mick Rathbone has revealed that Lescott is likely to take part in Sunday's match at Celtic before The Toffees jet off to USA for a pre-season tour.
He explained: "Joleon was ill over the weekend and we thought it was the chicken pox that Mikel Arteta has had. But this is not the case and there has been a lot of improvement in his condition."
