Norwich boss Peter Grant has cooled speculation linking Chris Martin with a move to Manchester United.The 18-year-old only broke into the Norwich side in January but he has since produced a series of eye-catching performances.
He has scored five goals in ten first-team matches and has reportedly impressed Sir Alex Ferguson.
Grant believes the speculation is nonsense but has urged Martin to take confidence from being linked with Manchester United.
"Manchester United? I think they have got more concerns on their mind," said Grant.
"But every time our players are mentioned it means we have got quality here. It doesn't concern me in the least.
"I'd be very happy as a player if I was linked with Manchester United.
"You want to be playing with the very best but he knows he's got a hell of a long way to go."
