The Italy Under 21 international is spending the second half of the season on loan at Parma after a frustrating first half with Newcastle United.
He has impressed for the Serie A strugglers, with Sir Alex Ferguson keen for the youngster to gain experience of regular first-team football.
The striker still feels his experience at St James' Park was worthwhile, and he confirmed he aims to make an impact at Old Trafford next term.
"My contract with United does not expire until June 2010 and I expect to complete it," Rossi is quoted by the Oldham Chronicle.
"It is important for young players to get their chance and I am getting my chance at Parma where I am turning out regularly and playing well.
"Going to Newcastle was also a good experience, though I didn't play as much, but the important thing was that I learned a lot while there."
Rossi was on show at the new Wembley Stadium on Saturday as Italy Under 21s drew 3-3 with England and he enjoyed the historic occasion.
He added: "Of course it was special to be there.
"Just by saying the name Wembley makes you have goose bumps. It was a great occasion and I think we put on a good show."
